Josh Camacho
Rock Creek High School
The best time as an athlete to be at your peak performance is in the postseason. Rock Creek's Josh Camacho has helped lead his team to a second place finish in the Mid-East League this season. The Mustangs were only team other than Rossville to beat every other team in the league. Camacho scored 15 points and dished out 8 assists in a 49-46 overtime victory the Bulldogs on Friday. On Tuesday, he and Rock Creek teammate Pake Ebert combined for 59 points in a 77-55 victory in the 3A sub-state opener. Camacho scored 29 points with ten field goals including three treys. He stroked home all six of his free throw attempts. Thru 21 games, Camacho is averaging 15.5 points, five rebounds, four and a half assists, and two steals per game. He scored a season-high 33 points against Douglass in the Canton-Galva Tournament. Camacho was named to the all-tournament team at both Canton-Galva and the Dickinson County Classic. Congratulations to Josh Camacho of Rock Creek, our McDonald’s/KMAN “Student-Athlete of the Week!”
