Kylie Rupe
Manhattan High School

A state champion, an excellent student, and a faithful community servant are the definition of a student-athlete, which certainly sums up Manhattan High’s Kylie Rupe.  Rupe spent three years on the Indian volleyball team; helping the team to advance to the past two state tournaments.  MHS brought home the 6A crown this past fall after almost being knocked out in pool play. The Tribe knocked off longtime rival Washburn Rural in the semis, and then beat Maize for the title.  Rupe also presided in the pitcher’s circle for MHS for three years in the spring. She led the Indians to double-digit wins and an appearance in the sub-state finals each year.  Rupe excelled in the classroom as well with a 3.89 GPA, and was a member of National Honor Society.  She also completed over 150 hours of community service during her high school career.  Kylie plans to attend both K-State & Manhattan Christian College thru the dual degree program, and play volleyball at MCC.  Congratulations to Kylie Rupe of Manhattan High School, the McDonald’s/KMAN “Student-Athlete of the Year!”
